I’ll echo this review. For anyone looking for a good harem story (love rivals), This series is one of the few harem stories done right. The Mc is an anti-villain who has to clean up the mess his former life as an author who got by created in his story to atone for a chance to go to heaven. Half the fun of the series is how this story breaks the 4th wall without really breaking the 4th wall. 

This series is worth a read...but I’ll point out, I’m not too confident how good the manhwa adaptation will be. The novel delves heavily into the motivations and psyche  of it’s character cast for it’s actions in response to situations. Most adaptations don’t generally get deep with the why behind character motivations.

For example, how an Mc conscious he is a middle aged adult acts like an emo teenager as the story carries on. Or Why some of the “more annoying” female leads act the way they do is well defined in the novel to get the mc’s attention.

There is a method to the madness, and for patient readers, you won’t be disappointed in how the story plays out, but there will be moments of frustration where you will get annoyed with how the Mc responds given his background or the gradual build up as the Mc goes from annoying to strong to monster. this is a series where it is much easier to appreciate the story if you read the novel than if you don’t, but it doesn’t mean you will need to read the novel to get it
