she basically went through 2 life,
40 years,
of mental and physical abuse with a lustful brother who she considered to be "abusive" or a "monster" in both of her childhood and adulthood.

And if you think that's an unrealistic scenario, I heard similar situations with some runaway girl's story even in Japan who would prefer living on the street than to live with their parents or siblings.
Some of their elder brother even tried to groom them despite being completely blood-related. Which might be a JP thing, but anyway.

In what world do you expect a person who went through that for 40 years, to be able to handle that when STANDING UP for yourself immediately result in physical harm by both the dad and the brother? Especially when they never expected anything from you AT ALL in both families that shes been through?

In fact, the dad was even thinking about abandoning her on the street but the brother decided to "discipline her" into a doll so she would be allowed to stay with them as a family longer.

You really do lack heart of a human being talking out like this lol.
This is why people like her are suicidal. You coincidentally proving the female lead correct since you would rather misunderstand than want to understand her.

@qubec I have a problem with how she's written. This story perpetuats the idea that if you suffer enough you will eventually find love.  And all the abuse is over the top  and these people have no problem  putting it in a romantic story. With how much she goes through it should be a horror story. But no we have these moments of her being silly and funny and idiotic. After 40 years of abuse, you'd expect a person to destroy or be destroyed. But she has no problem finding romantic connections and sisterly affection. Its only when she's a dumb bimbo that people come at me and say oh she's went through so much trauma. As if I'm heartless to expect a person to have a shred of dignity. I feel sorry for her but I don't like her. And how she's written.
