Rocks on Eyes clouded by the tiger
This is SO incredibly good... Up until the end, i wasn't sure if it was going to be a happy or sad ending, but

It was happy and IM SO GLAD
The main characters were just so lovable in the later parts of the story and not only that, but they're so hot... The artstyle is 10/10, story 10/10, characters also 10/10. A very good story and even though you might shed a tear or two, it's worth it

Rocks on Two Empires, The Slave Of The Empire
A story about a young, innocent, weak twinky boi, a helpless slave who gets ruthlessly sodomized by an evil, old hunk emperor.
Except it's fùcking not? Like, at all? Are we reading the same comic? Bois you do realize that MC is of age, right? Physically? He is 18 or something. And also you do realize mentally he is a machiavellian capital M Monarch? Sure, there's an ambiguous age gap, but calling ML a predator is deranged. I mean, he is, but just because he rapes. Thank you very much.
Let's be clear: characterization is outstandingly mature, in more ways than one. These two are state men first, and perverted homosexuals second. The themes follow accordingly: MC is a Chad stuck in the body of a twig, a man who literally made real politik his living ethos. Someone who murdered CHILDREN to strengthen his position, unchallenged in his gød-given, well founded ego. He is a monster, but also a conflicted person. He kills, but also he changed slightly with his new life. He is more emotional, more grounded in people. That's interesting, yo.
Then we have ML. ML is a rapist. Yeah. Dark themes, remember? He is a rapist and a scoundrel. Also he is VERY prideful. And extremely in love. From the fückin start. A recipe for disaster, in what is essentially a character-driven plot with a healthy side of political manoeuvering, where these two have a never ending arm wrestling match with excellent pacing. (Ray will win.)
I like it. It's great. It's dark. It's complicated, shady and morally questionable. Artstyle is not my favorite, but the quality is undeniable. No matter: the writing and the cast justify a 9+ on the Ivern Scale™️ for me.
